As a result there is friction between the rotating molecules and heat is generated throughout the entire volume of the material.

While RF radiation does not directly damage DNA, it may cause heat to build up within body tissues that could cause burning or damage to tissue. In contrast to ionizing radiation RF radiation is not believed to cause cancer. However, studies have revealed an increase in tumors in laboratory subjects exposed RF radiation.

There are numerous federal agencies that are involved in managing and monitoring the consequences on the body of RF radiation on the human body. This includes The Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, and the OSHA. They track RF exposure to ensure it's safe for workers. They also advise employees to limit their exposure when working in environments with high-frequency RF.
